YOUNG PEOPLE AT THE HEART

At Step Out we believe that children and young people should be at the centre of everything we do. They should be involved in every aspect of what we do from helping us design the service to delivering activities with and for us.

THE WELLS TRUST

Step-Out Mentoring operates under The Wells Trust (charity no.1103436). The Wells Trust are a charity based in Wells Way in Camberwell and are a community Christian church who run services in the local area such as baby and toddler groups, homeless shelters, parenting courses and in the past have run a local primary school. They also support the running of a community café in Camberwell called Lumberjack.  Step-Out Mentoring will base itself in their centre on Wells Way which will provide a physical place to run the group workshops and a safe space for mentors and mentees to meet up. The building is also home to Acet UK who are a charity that champion healthy relationships and sexual well-being for young people.

Step-Out Mentoring operates under a Christian ethos seeking to provide services to engage children and young people (regardless of faith). We are faith based but not faith biased.

FUNDERS

A massive thank you to our funders. Without your support we would not be able to do the work we do.

Funding from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund, has helped us to mentor more children and young people. Thanks to the Government for making this possible

The St Olave’s Foundation Fund provides financial support for Youth Organisations/Groups/Schools based in the London Borough of Southwark that provide activities for young people under the age of 25 years old and who are resident in the London Borough of Southwark.
